Grade 11. What a year. It’s had its ups and downs, but it’s been really insightful. I feel as if just yesterday, I just started grade 11. This question baffled me. I never actually thought about it. What WOULD I take from grade 11? There as so many lessons I’ve learned, what do when things get too hard to handle, etc. I think one of the lessons that stick out in my mind is that life is a journey and sometimes if you get off course, your have to focus and things will get better. I’ve also learned that I should take everything I’ve learned and apply it to my life. I’ve actually learned that skipping can be productive. As long as your doing it for the right reasons. For example, finish a huge project, to help a friend in need, or even just to de-stress. Skipping isn’t all that bad! You’re thinking about your future right? SO how can it be bad if it’s for the best later on in life?
I’ve learned so much in ENG3CI. I know that I’ll cherish the friends and experiences I’ve and in this class. I loved how Mr. Kemp could always make a lesson interesting; I think I even learned better that way. But I’ll always remember that Gingers, sort of, maybe, kind of have a soul.
I have a very extensive and stressful summer coming up. I need to prepare for grade 12. Meaning I need to get a full time job so I can afford my laptop & my DLSR camera. But I also have to pay some phone bills! Plus I have to buy all my school supplies and wardrobe. I also plan to go to many parties, and travel if I can.
I hope to get an 85 average or above. No less. I really want to get into a good University. I hope by grade 12 that I become fully invested in what I want to become because quite frankly, I’m still iffy if I want to become a journalist. But I definitely know I want to go into something with English, Fashion, or Photography. Those are all my strong points and interests. I hope to get fully involved at school with Wayve, Regional Wayve, and Link crew. Hopefully I can get more involved. I want this last year to be a year a never forget. I will truly miss high school. Wow, Did I just say that?
I think I deserve something around the high 80s – low 90s. But let’s be honest, that opinion is completely biased! But I think I truly deserve a mark as such. I’ve tried my best in class, and I’ve done well in many of my assignments and work. I’ve participated in class discussions, and activities. But at least I get a high 70, I’ll be SLIGHTLY satisfied.
I’m glad I took this course and had an incredible & funny, and let’s not forget, GINGER teacher like you Mr. Kemp. Thanks for a great year.

HGH. Human Growth Hormone. Are you serious? God has made us the way we are for a reason? But on the other side of things, You only live once. If I were an athlete, I would despise this drug. I would despise it for the sole reason of others having an advantage over me. I personally think that I’d rather work my ass off to get something and know that I did it MYSELF. Purely myself, with no drugs, or enhancements to help me. Its those little things that make a person great. So if someone takes a drug to help themselves, in any endeavor, it’s not really them doing or accomplishing that goal, it’s the drug.
I’m only 5”6. As much as I’d like to say I wouldn’t take this drug, I’d be lying. His drug is a godsend to a lot of people like myself. I’ve always wanted to be at least 5”8. In all actualality. whether its look younger, or to increase bodily restraints, it’s purely someone’s decision. If someone wants to deal with all of the side effects, then why not? It’s their body. Who are we to say no?
It amazing what science is able to accomplish these days. It truly is mind blowing. But drugs should always be a last resort.
A couple questions the author:
1. What’s your opinion the matter? Should be penalized for taking such a drug?
2. Would your take this drug yourself?
3. Is drug use, in your opinion, if used properly and for the greater good, is bad thing or a good thing?
Question: Should professional athletes be allowed to use HGH to improve their performance?
No. Athletes should use their own born talent. Maybe a player has a slight edge other another player, if the player with no edge takes HGH, they could be on the same playing ground. Or maybe even better than the other player. Sports require skills, and drugs aren’t skills.
Question for the reader: Would YOU take this drug, and why?
Thanks for reading.
Breathtaking. How he could endure all this pain and suffering. I can relate to this story in the way how I realized school way important for myself, and it was something I controlled. But for some odd reason, this article doesn’t impact me like most sad articles would. Perhaps I’ve heard of worse, and think that what he’s suffered was not as brutal as what I’ve heard. None the less, this is an inspirational story.
QUESTIONS:
1. How did this earthquake affect his filming?
2. Did he attend the University?
3. How did all the events in his life affect how he became who he was today?
FINALLY!
Facebook has completely become invested into a student’s life style. In fact, I’d consider it a life style. Facebook is a social networking site, so it should be used for such! Facebook gives shy students a complete advantage and maybe it will help with there insecurities. Of course there will be cyber bulling, buts not like it’s a new thing, we get it at home. And we can suggest teachers to monitor it. This way, students can report cyber bulling easier.
On the flipside of all this, some students will abuse this privilege, as they always do. But needless to say, students will do this none the less with all privileges. But it should not be punished in my opinion.
QUESTIONS:
1. In your opinon, is this helping?
2. Do you think students will abuse this privilege?
3. Why have they decided to do this now?

Many students drop out for different reasons. Financial problems, Problems at home, or Emotional issues etc.. I personally stay in school because I know it will help me in later life, but also because its something that I control. School is an opportunity and I think everyone should do it. If school is boring to some, I suggest trying to make it more fun! School doesn’t always have to be difficult and boring. Do what I do, Talk, get involved, make friends etc. If school is difficult to attend, then work it out with the school. Hopefully the school will help support you. I think if students had help, many could attend school! I believe that school is boring, but its definitely a necessity.
QUESTIONS:
1. What measures have you gone to try to attend or stay in school?
2. Why is school difficult to attend?
3. What do you think would be the most effective way to get people like yourself to attend school?
